aNSwer Help Pages
The following help items will assist you in navigating round aNSwer and EDS and find the information and facilities you are looking for.
Gateway page
Click on the central icons to navigate to either the aNSwer or EDS web sites. The logos at the bottom of that page will link you to the NDP (National Development Plan), EHS (Environment and Heritage Service) or EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)
Navigation
The Navigation bar on the left hand side is present on every page on the site. aNSwer and EDS have different navigation bars but you can link between them using the appropriate button on the navigation bar.
In aNSwer there are 14 main sections most of which contain sub-pages. Simply click on the link to make your way to the section you require. Alternative text appears when you hover over the link, providing you with more information about that page.
'Back', 'Forward' and 'Home' links appear in the top right of every page for quick access to the last page you accessed, the homepage or the page you just went back from (these operate similarly to the back/forward buttons in your browser window).
About aNSwer
'About aNSwer' contains 5 subcategories, which are listed under the title of the page. Simply click on a subcategory hyperlink to link to the information provided.
This section also contains information about third party websites such as the EPA and EHS sites. Links to these sites will open up the website in a new browser window which you can close when you want to leave the site and return to aNSwer.
Projects
Clicking on the projects link will bring you straight to the 'Project Search' page. There are 3 ways to search for a project on aNSwer:
1. Using the search box Using the search box that appears on the main 'Projects Page'. Filling more fields in the search area will optimise finding the project you are looking for. If you do not have all the details of the project, simply fill in as much detail as you can. (Can you expand - i.e. to look for a project with a specific subject, how to look for a project at certain date etc)
2. Map Searches Map searches are useful if you want to find all projects occurring in a specific area, town or hydrological area. There are three map searches to choose from.
